Christmas gifts for adults should be thoughtful, beautiful and useful, which is why I have bought the most beautiful recycled cashmere gifts for my family this year from Turtle Doves.
I first encountered them when I was looking for something to do with my sadly shrunken/moth eaten cashmere jumpers (it’s still painful to talk about it!) When I stumbled across the Turtle Doves ‘Send in a Jumper Gloves‘ I was delighted. For each jumper you send, you receive a pot luck pair of cashmere wrist warmers or fingerless gloves in return! You pay £5 for each jumper, plus return postage for the gloves (if you’re sending multiple jumpers you only have to pay one lot of return postage). Although you can’t choose the exact colours you receive, you can ask for certain shades or colours and they will do their best to accommodate. I asked for jewel or bright colours and received two beautiful pairs, one in purple and one in orange.
This year it’s too late to send your jumpers in time for Christmas, but you can buy the gloves and other items and support a small business in reusing and recycling a valuable material, while giving a gift that that be loved for many years.
